Faith Baptists' Wallin nominated for Old Spice Award
Nick Wallin of Faith Baptist of Canoga Park has been nominated for the Old Spice Red Zone Player of the Year Award.
The award is given annually to a player who embodies leadership, performance and desire, and serve as examples to their teammates on and off the field.
Wallin was a key member of the Faith Baptist 8-Man football team, helping lead the Contenders to a 10-3 record and their second straight appearance in the Div. I championship game.
The junior totaled 1,845 all-purpose yards with 23 touchdowns, including a team-leading 884 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns.

Congratulations Nick and the Faith Baptist Contenders! This kid has everything a football player should posses. Extreme athleticism, a nose for the football and uncanny field awareness. Transitioning from QB, DB, HB, Slot Receiver, Punt Returner, you name it, Contenders senior Nick Wallin succeedes at it! I had the pleasure of attending every game this season and was really impressed with the professionalism of the organization, the fan dedication and the coaching staff that continuously wins considering the school size and the limited players available. This is a well coached and extremely successful 8 man football team that Southern California and its fans are lucky to have. GO FAITH!!!!
