HS FOOT: Alemany, Dominguez tied 14-14 at half

| | Comments (0) |

The first half was filled with big hits, as both teams dug in.

Dominguez led 14-7 on a pair of Chris Brown 1-yard touchdown runs, and the Dons were in position to score another touchdown with two minutes remaining in the first half when Anthony Espinosa recovered a fumble on his own 4.

Alemany drove 96 yards on seven plays, scoring on Malcolm Marable's 1-yard run with 22 seconds left. The key play was a 39-yard pass from Vernon Adams to Marable, combined with a late 15-yard penalty by Dominguez for unsportsmanlike conduct that brought the football to the Dons' 19.

With its combination of crisp execution and athletic backs, Dominguez amassed 210 yards rushing in the first half.
