HS HOOPS: Golden Valley player hospitalized

| | Comments (0) |

Best wishes and prayers to Erik Gould and his family. The Golden Valley senior was hospitalized late Friday after being involved in a car accident, and coach Chris Printz said this morning that Gould was in intensive care but there were no details about the extent of Gould's injuries.

Earlier that day, Gould came off the bench and made a key basket in the final minute of a 72-71 victory over Lancaster in a tournament game at Granada Hills High, Printz said.

"It was a pretty serious accident," Printz said. "I can't even imagine what the family is going through. I have three kids of my own."

Gould, a 5-foot-9 guard, transferred from Canyon High.
