Baseball: Montclair Prep in semifinal Friday

The Montclair Prep of Van Nuys baseball team will play at Oxanrd Friday at 3 p.m. in a semifinal of the So. Calif. Invitational tournament.

The Mounties (3-0) are undefeated as is Royal of Simi Valley, the last two unbeaten teams in the tournament.

Royal plays at Culver City and if the Highlanders win, as expected, the championship game would feature MCP and Royal on Saturday.

Montclair Prep has scored 10 runs or more in each of it's first three games and is receiving strong contributions from top freshman and sophomore players.
