HS HOOPS: Harvard-Westlake out fast in regional final

Bishop Montgomery of Torrance scored the first basket, but Harvard-Westlake of Studio City responded with 13 consecutive points and held the Knights scoreless for seven minutes to build a 13-6 lead after one quarter Saturday in the Southern California Div. IV girls' basketball regional final at Colony High in Ontario.

Devon Brookshire gave Bishop Montgomery a 2-0 lead, but the Knights missed their next eight field-goal attempts and committed four turnovers to fall behind 13-2.

Nicole Hung leads Harvard-Westlake with six points.
