HS HOOPS: Harvard-Westlake staging comeback

After watching a three-point halftime deficit swell to 34-26 in the first minute of the third quarter, the Harvard-Westlake of Studio City girls' basketball team has rallied to take a 43-39 lead entering the fourth Saturday in the Southern Section Div. IV-AA final at The Pyramid in Long Beach.

Nicole Hung gave the Wolverines (29-1) their first lead at 37-36 with 2:08 remaining on a three-point play.

Hung had seven points in the quarter, Janine Zelden contributed five points and Amanda Horowitz added four for Harvard-Westlake, which has won 25 in a row.

Bishop Montgomery (26-6) cut the deficit to 41-39 on a 3-pointer by Taylor Sansbury with 10 seconds remaining, before Horowitz scored on a layup just before the buzzer.
