HS HOOPS: What a surprise: I'm sitting next to Zach Lieberman

| | Comments (0) |

What a nice surprise bumping into my longtime friend from junior high, Zach Lieberman, who was a key member of Taft's 1980 City 3A championship team.

I've dedicated much of my life to high school basketball, and Zach was the best dribbler and ball handler I've ever seen -- first at Montclair Prep (we played junior high ball together there back in the horse-and-buggy days), then at Taft when he was a sophomore, and then at Kennedy of Granada Hills his last two seasons.

Zach was 5-foot-4 in high school and has not grown an inch.
