HS BASE: Can Tyler Abbott outpitch Cory Hahn?

| | Comments (0) |

Tyler Abbott, a top left-handed pitcher for Royal, has a big job tonight. He needs to outpitch Mater Dei ace Cory Hahn in what is expected to be a tight, low-scoring showdown in the Southern Section Div. I semifinals coming up in just a minute or two.

Abbott (8-2) has won his past four decisions, but so has Hahn (12-1), including playoff victories over Newbury Park and Camarillo.

Both are left-handers. Abbott has signed with UC Irvine, and Hahn is headed to Arizona State -- if he does not sign a major league contract.

Lineups being announced. First pitch coming up.
