HS FOOT: Eight-man all-star game set for Saturday

The 11th annual Southern Section Eight-Man All-Star Game is slated for Saturday in Yucca Valley at Joshua Springs High, and organizers are promising the long trip will be worth it for the "best tri-tip sandwiches in Southern California." Kickoff is 7 p.m.

The West team, coached by Garrick Moss of Santa Clarita Christian, features Nick Wallin of Faith Baptist and Daniel Chaplin of Santa Clarita Christian.

Proceeds benefit the non-profit "Father's Heart Ranch Group Home" in the Coachella Valley, whose mission is to helped abused children.
