HS FOOT: If speed kills, Alemany is going on a rampage

| | Comments (0) |

Talk about speed. Alemany has no fewer than eight players who run a 4.6 40-yard dash or faster, according to coach Dean Herrington.

"We have some speed," Herrington said. "In my 11 years at Hart, we had maybe four kids who could run under 4.6."

No one will be faster on defense, that's for sure. Among the top DBs are Deron Smith, Major Armstead, Jerico Richardson, Saladin McCullough and Basil Boyd, Steven Mitchell and Kyron Defour.

Quarterback Vernon Adams runs a 4.57, and linebacker Jesse Sampson runs a 4.58.

I can't wait until Alemany plays Oaks Christian in the first game of the season.
