Boys' Basketball: Former Sylmar player Guy Landry in FIBA World Championships

It wasn't too long ago Guy Landry was playing for Sylmar High.

In fact, in 2008 he was on the same team with Tyler Honeycutt, who is now a sophomore at UCLA.

The 6'7 wing is now playing for the Ivory Coast national team in the FIBA basketball world championships.

Landry has played in all four contests averagong just a shade over 10 points per game.

Landry had nine points, three rebounds and two steals in an 86-47 loss against Turkey; nine points, three rebounds, one assist and one steal in an 83-73 loss against China; 14 points, two rebounds and one assist in a 72-66 loss against Russia; and nine points and two rebounds in a 97-60 loss against Greece.
