HS FOOT: Alemany backfield trio run show

| | Comments (0) |

After four victories, Alemany still has three tailbacks, so Saladin McCullough, Kyron Defour and Cameron Washington will continue to rotate like USC.

McCullough and Defour are breakaway threats, while Washington is a power back, and coach Dean Herrington loves the combination.

"They've all got their roles, and they're all going to play," Herrington said.

Also, standout kicker Martin Meza, who injured his leg Friday in a win over visiting Taft, is expected back at practice Wednesday. He remains probable Friday against visiting Harvard-Westlake.

In other injury news, Palmdale defensive tackle Steve Dillon, one of California's top recruits, is out with a sprained knee, and it is not clear when he will return. He has missed one game and is out for the Golden League opener Friday at Lancaster.

"We're a different team without him," Palmdale coach Jeff Williams said.
