HS FOOT: Crespi's Simmons still waiting out neck injury

| | Comments (0) |

Crespi folks were hoping injured offensive lineman Jordan Simmons would finally be cleared for tonight's game against Clovis West, but he must sit out at least one more game because of a neck injury sustained before the opener.

"With the neck and the head, that's stuff you don't want to mess with," Crespi coach Jon Mack said.

So the Celts (1-1) will take on Clovis West (3-0) with a patched-up offensive line featuring new personnel for the third consecutive game.

Not that a win was going to come easy anyway, as Clovis West is among the Central Coast's most respected programs.

Kickoff is 45 minutes or so. I'll update when I can.
