HS FOOT: Taft's Woods looks to avenge Dorsey loss

| | Comments (0) |

After losing to Dorsey in the City Section quarterfinals last winter, Taft gets another crack at the Dons on Thursday night at Rancho Cienega Park in Los Angeles -- and for Taft defensive lineman Antwaun Woods, the rivalry is personal.

Woods, a USC commit, lives in the same neighborhood as most of Dorsey's players and has known them since elementary school.

"They're all my friends over there," Woods said. "I'm excited to play them. I can't wait."

Woods said the playoff loss last year really got to him.

"It was a tough one. I was really mad," Woods said. "It wasn't that we lost but that it was personal. I'm glad to get another chance at them."
