HS FOOT: Police looking into Burbank incident involving assistant coach

| | Comments (0) |

In the aftermath of a Burbank assistant coach getting fired Friday for allegedly putting his hands on an Arcadia player during a sideline fight, the Burbank police are investigating, according to a report in the Pasadena Star News following our report on Saturday.

Head coach Hector Valencia said he fired volunteer assistant Stone Wall on the spot when the assistant grabbed an Arcadia player who was fighting with a Burbank player near the sideline; both players were ejected.

According to the Pasadena Star News report, Arcadia coach Jon Dimalante is upset:

"All I know is one of the (Burbank) coaches inappropriately grabbed my kid," Dimalante told the newspaper. "I can't accept that."

Dimalante added that during film review, he saw "that (Brazier) just kept grabbing him (Lagace) by the face mask, pulling him down."
