| | Comments (0) |

Former Alemany receiver Chris Gant is having quite a season and career at Moorpark.

Gant, a sophomore, is threatening several records for receivers.

Gant leads Sotuhern California in receptions (55), yardage (803) and touchdowns (13).

Gant was superb as a freshman, catching 64 passes for 811 yards and 16 touchdowns.

He set a single-game school record on Sept. 18th with 16 receptions against Hancock.

On Sept. 25th, Gant set the career receptions record with his 101st catch on a 39-yard scoring strike in a victory against Santa Barbara to break Dan Russell's 25-year-old mark.

Gant is also only 11 catches and 285 yards away from surpassing the 66-catch, 1,086 yard record season set by Isaiah Mustafa in 1994.
