HS FOOT: Crespi gets ready for Servite and return of coach Thomas

| | Comments (0) |

Hey Troy, welcome back but don't get too comfortable.

That's what Crespi must be thinking, as powerful Servite and its coach Troy Thomas, a Crespi alum and former Celt head coach, return to Encino for a Pac-5 quarterfinal Friday that's intriguing because it features Crespi's high-octane offense against Servite's stout defense.

There won't be an empty seat in the house for this one.

"We're excited about whoever we play, but it's nice to be at home," said Crespi coach Jon Mack, whose Celts (8-3) upset Sunset League champ Los Alamitos in the first round. "I am real pleased with my team. The kids are playing their hearts out, and it's very exciting to be playing during Thanksgiving."

Crespi's Kenny Stenhouse has passed for more than 3,000 yards and 29 touchdowns, but Servite (11-0) has allowed just 10.1 points per game.
