HS FOOT: Panorama forfeits three wins because of ineligible player
Panorama High has been forced to forfeit its first three football victories because of an ineligible player, so instead of being 8-1, the Pythons are 5-4, 5-0 heading into the Valley Mission League finale Friday against visiting Reseda (9-0, 5-0). Kickoff is 7 p.m.
Emilio Rodriguez, a senior multi-purpose back who transferred from league rival San Fernando, participated in the first three games of the season but was not officially cleared until Week 4, the City Section ruled; Panorama is Rodriguez third school after first playing for Kennedy as a sophomore.
"It's not his fault. We had all the paperwork filled out and it didn't get it turned in on time," Panorama coach Devon Rose said. "It's very frustrating."
Rose said there was a communication error with a Panorama administrator that caused the paperwork mistake.
Panorama's victories over South Gate, Chatsworth and Arleta have been overturned, City Section spokesman John Aguirre confirmed.

Take away whatever victories they want. The Pythons won the games on the field. It would be a travesty if this affects their playoff seeding.
