HS FOOT: Westlake trails by 11 to St. Bonnie at half
Westlake trailed 21-10 at the half.
The Warriors started well enough on their first possession by driving 70 yards in nine plays culminating with an an 8-yard touchdown pass from Nick Isham to Cody Tuttle. The scoring drive took less than three minutes, the key play Isham's 24-yard pass to Tuttle, who had three receptions for 51 yards on the drive.
But Westlake failed to score another touchdown over proceeding two quarters. The Warriors were forced to punt on their next two possessions before Isham hit Jared Fry on a 35-yard pass to set up Alex Ball's 28-yard field goal that cut St. Bonaventure's lead to 14-10.
After St. Bonaventure scored another touchdown on Shaun Wick's 3-yard run to boost the lead to 21-10 with just over two minutes left in the half, Westlake had another good chance to score. Isham connected on four completions, including passes of 16 and 10 yards to Nelson Spruce. With the Warriors in field-goal range at the 26, Isham was forced out of the pocket and tried to force a pass into the end zone that was intercepted by Jalen Jefferson.

Evans did a good job matching up with Isham. In the first half, the St. Bonaventure quarterback completed 14 of 19 for 160 yards.
