Boys' basketball: Providence's Gonzalez is a scoring machine

Patrick Gonzalez of tiny Providence High is a scoring machine.

Gonzalez scored 45 points Friday in a 87-78 victory against Avalon at the Liberty Christian tournament.

He added 24 points Saturday in a 60-55 loss against Capistrano Valley Christian.

He was named tournament MVP.

Gonzalez had another game last week at the Providence tournament in which he scored 44 points against St. Genevieve.
