Boys' basketball: Buckley beats Ribet Academy

Sophomore Tyler Coppin-Carter scored 16 points and Nick de Bonfilhs had 15 to lead Buckley in a 55-42 nonleague victory against Ribet Academy at the Oaks Christian showcase.

Buckley held a slim four-point lead at halftime but extended the advantage to nine at the end of the third quarter and led by as many as 19 midway through the fourth.

Washington-St.-bound Greg Sequele scored 17 points to lead the Fighting Frogs (10-10).

Buckley (12-4) is off until next Thursday when it will travel to Viewpoint for an important Liberty League contest trying to keep its undefeated league record intact.
