Boys' basketball: Cleveland snaps three game losing skid

Here is a quick recap from Cleveland asst. coach Chris Howe

Cleveland snapped a three game losing streak by exploding for 34 points in the fourth quarter to defeat El Camino Real, 70-65 on Wednesday. The Cavaliers trailed 52-36 after the Conquistadores' torched them in the third quarter, 23-6. Julian Richardson scored 10 points in the quarter (12 overall) and Anthony Jones, ECR's high scorer with 24 points, added 9 in the quarter. ECR's Temjae Singleton fouled out early in the fourth quarter and scored only 10 points.

Cleveland's Jaylen Bland led the way with 26 points, 11 rebounds and five assists. JR Williams hit two huge 3-pointers in the fourth quarter, including one which put the Cavaliers in front to stay, on his way to 12 points, and added five assists. Adrian Francis hit three 3-pointers in the quarter after struggling from the field earlier, to help spark the surge, and finished with 13 points. Jason Moore (10 points) made 6 of7 free throws down the stretch to help seal the victory for the Cavaliers, who moved into sole possession of second place in the West Valley League.
