Boys' basketball: Can Chaminade make a run?

| | Comments (0) |

Chaminade only won one game in the Mission League this season but the Eagles might be able to make a run in the Div. IV-AA playoffs.

Sophomore Jaron Martin is a scoring machine and gave league coaches fits tryiing to stop him. Martin averaged over 20 points per game often fitting through spaces thought not humanly possible.

"He is phenomenal," coach Todd Wolfson said.

Chaminade is no stranger to upsets in the playoffs after knocking off Orange Lutheran two years ago before barely losing to Price in the IV-A final.

"If we get a good team at home with our student section going, you never know," Wolfson said.

Chaminade was 12-3 before league play started and it would be safe to say no team other than Orange Lutheran dealt with what Chaminade did in the Mission League.
