Marmonte League wrestling results

| | Comments (0) |

We appreciate the Marmonte League schools for calling in their results - some more detailed that others. Royal wins the league, Moorpark finishes second and Simi Valley and lands in third.

Due to space issues in the physical paper, this didn't make it in there, but it will online later.

Here are the summaries that couldn't make it in the physical paper.

Agoura 37, Calabasas 35: David Boyko's pin of Adam Sharma at 215 pounds sealed the Marmonte League win for the Chargers.
Scott Haskell (130) and Ethan Rieder (189) also had wins for Agoura (8-8, 2-5).

Royal 57, Simi Valley 17: The Highlanders denied the Pioneers a share of the Marmonte League title and win the championship outright with the dominating performance. Colton Wegrzyn, Tristan Lyga, Tony Bolanos, Jesse Lyga, J.B. Dones, Adrian Galindo, Taylor Amic, Justin Veditz, Nathen Ruiz, Mason Medina and Cody Goshman all won for the Highlanders.
Had the Pioneers won the match, Simi Valley could have tied Royal and Moorpark for the title, but instead fall to third place, with Moorpark finishing second.
