HS BASE: Cleveland looks to improve

| | Comments (0) |

Cleveland is in a funk. After a strong start, the Cavaliers have lost 10 of 11 - including three one-run losses over the past four -- to fall to 10-15 heading into a West Valley game at 6 p.m. today at Birmingham.

"We just can't win any of these one-run games," coach Greg Venger said. "We make a couple of mistakes here and there, and every mistake we make, the other team capitalizes on it. Earlier in the season, it seemed like if we'd make a mistake, we could get away with it. We're not as confident, but you know how this game goes - winning cures everything."
