Boys' basketball: Westchester Summer tournament set for June 27-July 2

Taft is the only local school participating in the inaugural Westchester Summer Tip-Off tournament June 27-July 2.

Here is the schedule in order from top to bottom of the bracket.

Windward vs. Morningside, Tuesday June 27, 2 p.m.
St. Bernard vs. Bishop Montgomery, Tuesday June 28, 3:30 p.m.
Narbonne vs. Serra, Tuesday June 28, 5 p.m.
Westchester vs. Compton Centennial, Tuesday June 28, 6:30 p.m.

West Torrance vs. Taft, Monday June 27, 2 p.m.
Redondo Union vs. Palisades, Monday June 27, 3:30 p.m.
Peninsula vs. Washington Prep, Monday June 27, 5 p.m.
Mater Dei vs. Venice, Monday June 27, 6:30 p.m.

A possible Taft vs. Palisades second round matchup could be very interesting.

Windward has incoming freshman Mason Shepard and Roy Hemsley.

St. Bernard has an incoming freshman nicknamed "Buddah", so I can only imagine he will be a good one.

Mater Dei is also entered in the Fairfax tournament. It will be interesting to see which players play at which tournament
