HS BASE: Moustakas gets a hit in MLB debut

Mike Moustakas, the former Chatsworth home-run king drafted No. 2 overall in 2007, made his major league debut tonight against the Angels at Angel Stadium, and the 22-year-old third baseman went 1 for 3 with a run to help the Royals to a 4-2 win.

The hit was a broken-bat single in the sixth inning.
