HS BASE: Oaks Christian's Ocello named Tri-Valley League Player of Year

Oaks Chritian's Evan Ocello, the former Conejo Valley Little League all-star who played on the 2004 U.S. championship team in Williamsport, Pa., has been named MVP of the Tri-Valley League.

Ocello, an outfielder, stole 36 bases and helped the Lions to the D4 semifinals.

The first-team selections: Jose Carrillo, Carpinteria; Travis Radke, Trevor Gretzky, Drew Hacker and Cole Taylor, Oaks Christian; Jordan Farris, Josh Grajeda, Cody Kurz and DJ Romero, St. Bonaventure; Nick Morelli and Eric Henderson, Oak Park; Jacob Elliott, Grace Brethren; Tim LeSuer and Allen Colborn, Nordhoff; Parker Phillips, Malibu.
