BOYS' BASKETBALL: Simi Valley grad Jackson to redshirt at Pepperdine

| | Comments (0) |

Pepperdine senior guard Lorne Jackson, a Simi Valley graduate, had successful surgery to repair a torn right ACL suffered during a pick-up basketball game in June and is expected to redshirt the upcoming season.

Jackson, who averaged 13.2 points last season including 16.6 points per game in the West Coast Conference, would still have one year of eligibility remaining if he returns for the 2012-13 season. Jackson has scored 889 career points and is looking to become Pepperdine's 37th player to reach the 1,000-point milestone.

Jackson, a WCC honorable mention selection last year, had successful surgery on his left knee following his freshman season, but recovered in time to play his sophomore year, averaging 8.1 points.
