Already with its first berth in the championship series of the Southern California state baseball tournament at the 14-under level secured, Encino Little League made history again Thursday by capturing the North sub-divisional title in the 12-under division for the first time with a 16-10 victory over Conejo Valley at Cortez Park in West Covina.

Encino's 14-under all-star team (10-0) rallied for a 7-5 victory Wednesday over Golden Hill to advance to Saturday's opening game at 5:30 p.m. against San Clemente (10-1) at Arlington Heights Sports Park in Riverside.

Encino's 12-under all-star team (12-1) will face Ocean View (10-1), last year's Southern California state tournament champion, in the first game of its series at 3 p.m. Saturday at Cortez Park in West Covina.

Tustin Eastern and Encino have dominated the Little League landscape in Southern California this summer, with Tustin Eastern winning North sub-divisional titles at the 11-under and 10-under levels.

Tustin Eastern (11-1) will face South sub-divisional winner Chula Vista's Park View (10-1) in the 11-under best-of-three championship series, beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday at Chollas Lake Little League in San Diego.

Tustin Eastern (11-1) will take on South sub-divisional winner Rancho San Diego (14-1) in the 10-under best-of-three championship series, beginning at 3 p.m. Saturday at El Cerrito Sports Park in Corona.

In the 16-under Southern California state tournament championship series, North Anaheim (8-0) will face Manhattan Beach (6-0) at 10 a.m. Saturday at Reid Park Little League in Riverside.
