Antelope Valley's 18-under softball all-star team defeated Oregon 12-2 in Wednesday's round-robin game of the Big League Western Regionals at Monte Vista Little League Field in Lancaster.

Antelope Valley (2-0) extended its regional winning streak to 23 in a row since 2007 entering today's game against Westchester Del Rey (5-0) -- which recorded a 16-0 victory Wednesday over Seattle, Wash. -- at 8 p.m. at Monte Vista Little League Field.

Antelope Valley and Westchester Del Rey have already qualified for the best-of-three championship series Saturday, with the first game scheduled for 10 a.m.

Crescenta Valley's run in the 14-under Southern California state softball tournament came to an end Wednesday with a 3-1 setback to Westchester Del Rey.

Despite a combined one-hitter from Adela Alatraca and Olivia Thayer, C.V. (8-2) couldn't protect a one-run lead, committing crucial errors to suffer its second setback to Westchester Del Rey (8-1) in a four-day span, following a 4-2 setback Sunday.

Paige Trestrail drove in Thayer for C.V.'s lone run in the second inning. It marked the second year in a row C.V. was eliminated in the Southern California state tournament.
