BOYS' BASKETBALL: New coach at Monroe

Corey Hamashita is the new boys' basketball coach at Monroe High in North Hills.

Hamashita takes over for Nicholas Halic, who is now an asst. at Birmingham.

Monroe lost in the first round of the Div. III playoffs against Chatsworth last year.
