FOOTBALL: Keeping Tabs

| | Comments (0) |

It was great to see former Taft quarterback Josh Portis Thursday on ESPN.

Portis led the Seattle Seahawks to a game-tying touchdown late in the fourth quarter in an exhibition game against the San Diego Chargers.

Portis played at Taft for the 2003 and 2004 seasons.

Portis just turned 24 years old on July 14.

Portis went to three different high schools and three different colleges (Florida, Maryland, California-Pennsylvania) but has finally realized his dream.

Portis is battling Charlie Whitehurst for the backup spot behind starter Tavaris Jackson.
