HS FOOTBALL: Keeping tabs on local grads

Kevin Ervin, a top running back at Poly the past two seasons, received some major-college interests but instead is playing for Pierce College because of academic issues.

"I didn't have a high enough score on my SAT, but I'm going to take care of everything," Ervin said. "I'm starting all over again, and I'm going to do it the right way."

Ryan Seidler, a former Burbank linebacker who twice set the school's single-season tackling record, is playing at Concordia. He is the only Southern Californian on the roster.
