HS FOOTBALL: Oaks Christian quarterback Falk leaves school

| | Comments (1) |

One week after being beaten out for the starting quarterback position at Oaks Christian, Luke Falk has left the school.

"He left (Monday). It's definitely a big loss," receiver Jordan Payton said. "All I know is it's a family situation. He really loves Oaks Christian. He told everyone goodbye."

Falk was not available for comment.

With sophomore Brandon Dawkins, the Lions' new starting quarterback, throwing for 168 yards and accounting for two touchdowns Friday in a 36-24 Marmonte League victory over St. Bonaventure, Chandler Whitbord is the new backup quarterback after being promoted from the JV team.

"He's pretty good," Payton said.

Oaks Christian plays host Friday to Calabasas, before a visit Oct. 6 to intracity rival Westlake.

Family situation? Sure it is. Pull my other leg and it plays jingle bells. The fact of the matter is that this kid got beat out and his "mentor" Steve "I invented the QB position" Clarkson told him to transfer. Bet your bottom dollar that he will end up at St. Bonny or some other private school that needs a QB next year.
