GIRLS' BASKETBALL: Sierra Canyon loading up again

The Sierra Canyon girls' basketball team has had much success the past several years, including a Southern Section championship in 2009.

The Trailblazers graduated top players Jasmine Sneed, Kelly Schneider and Tori Wells bur have no intentions of falling apart.

Athletic Director Rock Pillsbury hired former El Camino Real coach Raquel Alotis and the Trailblazers will welcome two outstanding freshman this season.

Kennedy Burke and Cheyenne Wallace are two youngsters to watch out for.

They will join senior forward Toni Oni to help keep Sierra Canyon continue its winning ways.

Burke is the sister of former Notre Dame standout Kody Burke and Wallace is considered one of the areas brightest prospects after almost attending L.A. Baptist.
