HS FOOTBALL: Eastside is on rise

| | Comments (0) |

Having never finished better than third in the Golden League since joining in 2007, Eastside continues to impress. The Lions (4-3, 4-0) won their fourth league game without a loss by coming from 21 points down in a 56-34 victory at Antelope Valley.

Kevin Teate and Daniel Bernard both rushed for more than 200 yards, as Eastside amassed a school-record 534 yards rushing.

That's all well and good, but Eastside's toughest challenges lie ahead. The underdog Lions play Friday at Highland (5-1, 3-1), then comes Quartz Hill (6-1, 4-0) and Palmdale (3-4, 2-2).
