HS FOOTBALL: Look who is tied for first in Golden League

| | Comments (0) |

Eastside has come out of nowhere to pull into a tie for first place in the Golden League. After scoring a total of three touchdowns in three uninspired nonleague losses, Eastside (3-3, 3-0) has yet to lose a league game after defeating Lancaster 43-0.

"The defense continued to play hard, physical football, and we maintained the shutout with several goal-line stands, including a fourth-and-goal from the one-inch line," Eastside coach Richard Lear said.

Eastside has never finished better than third since joining the Golden League in 2007, and the Lions have never won a league title in football, basketball or baseball.
