HS FOOTBALL: North Hollywood looks to improve

| | Comments (0) |

After winning its final three games of the season last year, North Hollywood was expecting big things this season. But injuries have ravaged the winless Huskies (0-6), as starting quarterback Cullen Englund (collarbone) and starting running back Valon Holmes (leg) are among those out for the season.

North Hollywood has held its past four opponents to an average of 13.3 points but to no avail. The Huskies have a bye this week before East Valley League play resumes Oct. 21 at Arleta -- one of the toughest opponents on the schedule.

"What doesn't kill you makes you stronger," North Hollywood coach Doug Bledsoe said. "We're still alive, and we will get this ship turned around."
