HS FOOT: Oaks Christian's Mendoza injures shoulder

| | Comments (0) |

Oaks Christian's Carlos Mendoza, a running back/linebacker who is one of the Southland's top players, hurt his shoulder Friday in a win over Simi Valley, and he is scheduled to undergoe an examination by noted orthopedist Dr. Richard Ferkel today, Oaks Christian coach Bill Redell said.

"We're hoping it's not that serious, but it was serious enough for him to be taken out last game to miss the second quarter, the third quarter and the fourth quarter," Redell said. "We'll know more tonight. Hopefully, it's minor. We won't know for sure until x-rays and MRIs and all those things."
