Evan Norton, QB, Glendale - Norton passed for a school-record 465 yards and three TDs in a 47-46 loss at Pasadena.

"It was a thriller," Glendale coach Alan Eberhardt said.

TOP PERFORMANCES

Earl Johnson, RB, Golden Valley - Originally credited with 299 yards rushing, Johnson rushed for a school-record 345 yards and three TDs in 25 carries Thursday in a 38-20 loss to visiting San Marino.

"Our run game really came together, and Earl ran harder than I've ever seen," Golden Valley coach Robert Fisher said. "He was determined to set the school record with the help of his teammates."

Nick Ruiz, DB, Crescenta Valley - Ruiz came through with a game-saving interception on the 10-yard line with nine seconds left to preserve a 27-20 win Friday over visiting Muir. He also caught four passes for 115 yards and a TD.

Rey Rodriguez, PK, Quartz Hill - Rodriguez kicked a 39-yard field goal with eight seconds left in a 23-21 win at Highland to save the visiting Rebels after squandering a 20-point lead.
