HS FOOTBALL: How 'Bout Them Cowboys

| | Comments (0) |

Canyon is off to a roaring start. The Cowboys are 5-0 and averaging more than 50 points, and another easy win is expected Thursday at distant Dos Pueblos (0-5) in Goleta.

Canyon, led by quarterback Jonathan Jerozal, receiver Drew Wolitarsky and running back Max Archuleta, is taking nothing because last year the Cowboys won their first six against most the same opponents before a loss to Valencia to cost them a Foothill League title.

"We're looking forward to the start of league, but we're not looking past Dos Pueblos," Arculeta said. "We're taking things one game at a time."
