What does the week after Thanksgiving mean?

The unofficial start of High School basketball.

The region's own version of Feast Week gets underway with several tournaments.

Pasadena High, Burbank High, Providence High, Vaughn Charter High and Redondo Union High and Milken Community High have tournaments that begin Monday.

The 26th annual Simi Valley tournament starts Tuesday.

The girls' get going, as well.

Inglewood, Valencia and Crescenta Valley have tournaments with several local programs.

Some top boys' matchups include Sylmar vs. La Verne Lutheran at 6:30 p.m. at Pasadena, Van Nuys vs. Village Christian at 3:30 p.m. at Burbank, Providence hosts Wildwood at 7:30 p.m. and will show-off talented freshman guard Marcus LoVett, Jr.

Harvard-Westlake faces Santa Monica at 5:50 p.m. at Redondo Union.

Simi Valley tips things off Tuesday with Chatsworth vs. Valencia at 5 p.m. and El Camino Real taking on Verdugo Hills at 8 p.m.
