Top Performances

Brandon Dawkins, QB, Westlake - Dawkins passed for a school-record seven TDs - not six as reported in Saturday's edition - and also scored a TD in a 55-21 Northern win at Highland. Dawkins completed 27 of 37 for 341 yards.

"I'm very impressed with the kid," Oaks Christian coach Bill Redell said.

Justin Solis, DL, Westlake - Solis, a 6-3, 290-pounder, returning an interception 25 yards and also recovered a fumble in a 42-14 win over Hart in a Northern quarterfinal at College of the Canyons.

Cesar Vega, PK, Canoga Park - Vega kicked two field goals, including a winning 18-yarder in overtime in a 27-24 win over visiting Bell in a City Section Div. II quarterfinal.

HE SAID

"We only suited up 36 guys and they had 80, and we were battling, limping. I didn't know who was coming out and who was going in, but we made the plays at the end."
