HS FOOTBALL: Van Nuys ready for first playoff appearance in 13 years

| | Comments (0) |

Van Nuys has a bye this week, but assuming nothing crazy happens, the Wolves already have done enough to secure a City Section Div. II playoff berth - the program's first postseason appearance since 1998.

Van Nuys (8-2, 4-2), led by multi-purpose back Iheanyi Obinna, can finish no worse than third, and among those ahead in the standings is first-place Reseda, a Div. I program.

"Right now, I see us in the No. 6 spot (in Div. II). We're really happy, we're really excited," Van Nuys coach Sean

Pollard said. "It's a big accomplishment, but we're still hungry."
