BOYS' BASKETBALL: Chaminade falls in Pacifica tournament championship game

| | Comments (0) |

Chaminade had a dreadful second half Saturday in a 78-58 setback against undefeated Oxnard in the championship game of the Pacifica (Oxnard) tournament.

Jaron Martin scored 18 points and Jack Williams scored 16 points but it wasn't nearly enough to overcome getting outscored 43-25 in the final 16 minutes.

Martin had no field goals and only made three free throws in the deciding half, after Chaminade only trailed 35-33 at the break.

Oxnard's front-court duo of Matt Ramon and Daniel Crocker were too much.

Ramon had 22 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and four steals to take home tournament MVP honors.

Crocker had 22 points and 20 rebounds.

Oxnard is the odds-on favorite to win the Pacific View League.

Chaminade fell to 6-3.

Oxnard is 9-0.
