HS FOOTBALL: Football fans, get ready for a big one at Oaks Christian

| | Comments (0) |

Well, it's the last game of the Southern Section season, and it's the biggest -- as Oaks Christian plays visiting Westlake in Northern Division championship, a rematch of last year's final won by Oaks Christian 29-28.

The place is soldout, and I am eternally grateful to be covering such a big event -- about as big as high school football gets around.

Both teams have excellent quarterbacks and skill players, excellent offensive lines and excellent defenses. It could come down to special teams, and Westlake has the best kicker in Alex Ball, who has 19 field goals and would love nothing more than to kick the winning field goal.

Some reporters have already trickled in to the press box, as the sun is setting and the lights are on. Should be a great showdown.
