Oaks Christian trailed 17-13 at halftime. Brandon Dawkins accounted for two first-half touchdowns, passing 16 yards to Robert Morgan for a touchdown in the first quarter, followed by a 1-yard sneak with 1:04 remaining before intermission.

Connecting mostly on short passes, Dawkins was 15 of 18 for 104 yards in the first half. He also broke a 48-yard run to set up his scoring pass to Morgan, as Oaks Christian drove 84 yards on eight plays with Dawkins completing six passes for 51 yards.

St. Bonaventure answered on Sean Wick's 39-yard touchdown run from a Wildcat formation, as the Seraphs drove 60 yards in five plays.

After Oaks Christian's Ishmael Adams lost a fumble, St. Bonaventure scored again, driving 52 yards on nine plays, as Wick, again lining at quarterback scored on a 25-yard run.

Down 17-7, Oaks Christian scored again on Dawkins' 1-yard run, culminating a 13-play, 77-yard drive. Dawkins completed five passes for 42 yards on the series.
