BOYS' BASKETBALL: Granada Hills beats Thousand Oaks in battle of Hillcrest Christian

Stephen Doerbecker scored 25 points and Aaron Martinez scored 14 points to lead Hillcrest Christian of Granada Hills to a 57-54 nonleague victory against Hillcrest Christian of Thousand Oaks at Taft High.

Martinez added 11 rebounds to help the Eagles overcome a six-point halftime deficit.

Gio Hernandez scored 29 points to lead Hillcrest Christian/Thousand Oaks (3-7).

Teddy Rettinger scored 14 points and had nine rebounds.
