BOYS' SOCCER: El Camino Real leads 2-0 at halftime

| | Comments (0) |

Playing in its first match since goalkeeper Francisco Rodriguez was killed Wednesday outside his Winnetka home, the visiting El Camino Real boys' soccer team received goals from Lucas Ladek and Josh Cohen and leads West Valley League rival Cleveland 2-0 at halftime Friday.

There was a 26-second moment of silence before the match to honor Rodriguez, whose No. 26 jersey lay next to the El Camino Real bench.

El Camino Real also started the match with 10 field players and no goalkeeper as a tribute to the 17-year-old Rodriguez.
